Spicy Buffalo Chicken Pizza Recipe

This Buffalo Chicken Pizza combines spicy, creamy, and savory elements for a delicious meal. Whether for a party or a cozy night in, this pizza promises to be a hit.

 

 

Buffalo Chicken Pizza (8 Servings)

Dough Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups Bread Flour (350g)
  • 1 cup Warm Water (210g)
  • 1 tbsp Sugar (10g)
  • 1 tsp Instant Yeast (3g)
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil (10g)
  • 1.5 tsp Salt (8g)

Pizza Dough Instructions:

  1. In a stand mixer, dissolve sugar in warm water, then sprinkle in the yeast and olive oil. Mix until the yeast is fully immersed.
  2. Add flour and salt and use the dough hook to mix on medium-low for 3 minutes until the dough forms. 
  3. Knead on medium-high for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Form the dough into a large tight ball, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.

Spicy Pizza Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter (14g)
  • 1 tbsp All-Purpose Flour (8g)
  • 1/2 cup Whole Milk (122g)
  • 1/4 cup Max’s Hot Sauce (56g)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce (3g)

Spicy Pizza Sauce Instructions:

  1. Melt butter in a skillet, whisk in flour until smooth.
  2. Gradually add milk, whisking continuously. Stir in hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Bring to a boil and cook until the sauce thickens. 

Per Pizza Toppings:

  • 1 cup Shredded Chicken (210g)
  • 2 cups Shredded Low Moisture Mozzarella (224g)
  • ½ Red Onion

Pizza Prep:

  1. Preheat the oven to 550°F (280°C).
  2. Divide the dough and roll into a tight ball lightly grease a place into a 12-inch cast iron or non-stick pan.
  3. Using the tips of your fingers, form pizza around the pan
  4. Combine a few tablespoons of your pizza sauce with your shredded chicken in a small bowl

Pizza Baking Instructions:

  1. Add cheese, seasoned chicken, and some sliced red onions to your pizza.
  2. Bake for 14-18 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  3. Check the bottom of your pizza
  4. If not done to preference, turn stove top on medium heat
  5. Cook only the bottom of the pizza in the pan till preferred doneness
